RTA's Youth Program runs from September to March, offering top-quality instruction and performance to young artists ages 9-18. Students explore the artistic disciplines of Singing, Acting, and Dancing while incorporating other tasks of Theatre such as

audition prep, rehearsal ethic, prop-making, set construction, and stage management.

Radiant Theatre Arts not only centers on performance and production skills, but also introduces students to important soft skills for life like teamwork, organization, timeliness, and taking turns in the spotlight...all while having the time of their lives!

"Movies will make you famous, Television will make you rich, but Theatre will make you good."   -Terrence Mann

Anita Fischer, RAD RTS, grew up in England, where she trained with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD). She is a Registered Teacher with this prestigious organization and continues her professional development through annual RAD training.

Anita has toured extensively throughout the United States, South America, and Europe as both a performer and educator. In addition to her dance training, she studied mime, including the unique opportunity to train under the legendary Marcel Marceau.

Throughout her career, Anita has performed in and choreographed numerous theatrical productions for both professional and community companies in the United States and abroad. She is the owner and director of her own dance studio, where students participate in Royal Academy of Dance examinations, annual Spring Recitals, and the beloved holiday production, A Magical Christmas Dream.

Her passion for musical theatre has led her to choreograph productions for Azusa Pacific University's Opera Department, Page 2 Stage, San Gabriel Valley Music Theatre, and numerous schools and community organizations. Her choreography credits include Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Jr., Aladdin Jr., The Little Mermaid Jr., Mean Girls Jr., Matilda Jr., Shrek Jr., SpongeBob SquarePants: The Musical Youth Edition, The Lion King Jr., Newsies Jr., Mary Poppins Jr., Frozen Jr., and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Anita also served for many years as Director of Dance for the International Worship Symposium, where she choreographed and directed multiple church dance companies throughout Southern California. She continues to teach academic dance classes, choreograph theatrical productions, and mentor young performers through both dance and musical theatre.

She is co-founder and co-director of Radiant Theatre Arts, where she is committed to providing high-quality performing arts education while inspiring students to grow in confidence, discipline, creativity, and excellence.

Anita is married to Paul Fischer, and together they pastor Living Waters Church. They are the proud parents of four children.

Music, Dance, and Drama have always played a big role in Julie's life history. Starting out in youth choirs and plays, expanding to orchestral disciplines playing the flute and harp, then joining dance companies and regional theaters here in the San Gabriel Valley. Julie eventually became a journeyman with an international pantomime and performing arts troupe, whose leaders were trained in Paris under Marcel Marceau. This experience led to not only performing worldwide but also teaching the art forms of mime & physical theatre, dance, and acting to students and adults alike. Other local theatrical training includes Pasadena City College, Music Theatre of Southern California, and Actors Co-op in Hollywood.

Since 2017, Julie's teaching has expanded to include music direction and choreography for the educational division of San Gabriel Valley Music Theatre, helping direct shows for South Pasadena Middle School, Gabrielino High School, and other local schools & homeschool co-ops, providing a well-rounded approach to leadership in performing arts. Her work over the years has moved beyond teaching into producing & directing 20+ musical shows and multi-genre presentations, leading to the formation and co-ownership of Radiant Theatre Arts, which exists to bring quality performing arts instruction and theatrical experience to students and artists in the Los Angeles area.

Julie and her husband Jeff have raised four children, who each have at one time or another contributed their own talents to the

"family business" we call Performing Arts.

Long live local theatre!
